A criminal record does not constitute an automatic bar to volunteer placement, but will be considered in terms of the volunteer work to be performed. Failure to provide a complete criminal history will be an automatic denial as a volunteer, even if you were approved in previous applications.
Your application is not complete until you sign and return a Volunteer Release and a Background Check Release. Volunteers under the age of 18 must also have a parent or guardian sign a Parent's Additional Indemnification.
