The purpose of the Community Development Department is to support the City of Pasadena through the development of affordable housing opportunities, improvement of public facilities/infrastructure, administration of public service activities, and the implementation of emergency solutions to reduce homelessness throughout the community.
The Emergency Management Department is responsible for protecting the citizens of Pasadena before, during, and after any and all disasters. These disasters can include man-made events such as chemical spills and transportation accidents, or natural events such as severe storms, floods, and hurricanes.
Human Resources is responsible for the effective management of key processes such as employment, compensation, employee development, performance management, policy design and communication, and employee benefit program administration.
The City of Pasadena Planning Department coordinates with other city departments and regional planning agencies to implement land use and development regulations in accordance with City Ordinances and the Texas Local Government Code.
The Public Works Administration strives to provide administrative leadership to the departments falling under Public Works umbrella and to maintain city’s infrastructure and mobility, deliver superior water and sanitation services.
