Tournament Information:
- Saturday: May 6, 8:30 a.m. - Noon
- Awards Presentation 12:15 - 12:30 p.m.
- Location: Burke Crenshaw Park
- Shirts provided for registered competitors, only.
Supplies:
- Poles:
- Bring your own fishing pole.
- If you do not have a pole, loaner poles will be available while supplies last (with I.D.)
- Bait:
- Bring your own bait.
- All live bait and lures are acceptable.
- Worm Bait provided (while supplies last)
- Bring your own chair and/or blanket.
Tournament Rules:
- Open to youth/teens ages 5-15.
- Catch and release, only.
- One pole per child.
- Parents must supervise young children at all times.
- Fish must be caught during the allotted time. Fish caught after 12pm will not be eligible for competition.
- Assisting:
- Anyone assisting, who is over the age of 16, will need a fishing license.
- Adults can cast the line, but the child must fish and reel in the catch by themselves.
- Any fish caught must be weighed by event staff if competing in the tournament.
- The public is still allowed to fish even if they are not in the tournament.
Awards:
- Overall award - MOST UNUSUAL FISH
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be awarded for the biggest fish (by weight) per age group.
- In the event of a tie in weight, the award will go to the first person who caught the fish.
- Age groups for awards are as follows: 5-7, 8-11, 12-15
